Our site history

We have been on the world wide web since 1995.  This site is just the most frequent iteration of our family on the web.

The first website in June 1995 was a site dedicated to the pursuit of coffee.  Since then we have grown and even ventured into both independent and professional web consulting.

Currently we maintain four websites, none of which are commercial.

To learn more about our sites and why we have a stake in the world wide web, please visit our about page.

Family is one of the most important things you can have in this life.  We cherish our family and try to make our lives and the lives of our children as meaningful as possible.  We are not the richest.  We are not poor.  We are not well travelled (at least most of us aren't).  We do not stay locked in our home.  We enjoy our life.  We enjoy our faith.  We enjoy the richness of simple blessings.

We started out as two in late 1986.  Now we are five.  Very soon we will have children attending High School, Junior High and Elementary School.  It will be a wisp of vapor and we will have an empty nest, but we will still be family.

For many generations the parents in our family have passed the value of faith and family to their children.  We have done so with ours.

No promises, no products, no preaching (well maybe a little), just us, our family and our beliefs.  read more

Family is what this site is about

In case you did not catch the focus of this site, it is about family.  We believe that each generation has a responsibility to pass on the best to their children.  This has not been the status quo for several decades in this country.  Our site may see homey and with antiquated ideals, but it is a firmly held belief.

Shoe Leather beliefs

Stating your beliefs is one thing, living them is another.  I can make intellectual assertions but unless I am willing to give them the foundation of my daily actions they are meaningless.  We hope that we can live out our belief in both family and faith.

Our faith is very important to us.

Our faith is an integral part of how we interact as a family.  It is fair to say that we find our faith inseparable from our family life.  If you truly believe in something, you will live it and pass it on to your children and share it with those around you.  You will find a section here that we hope clearly and concisely communicates our faith.
